John Davis received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado.  He obtained his  Juris Doctorate degree from the University Of Denver College of Law in 1989 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar that year. Following graduation from law school Mr. Davis was appointed as a Deputy District Attorney with the Denver District Attorney’s Office, where he served as a prosecutor for approximately 10 years. In that time, Mr. Davis prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases including homicides, sexual assaults, kidnappings, drug cases and other charges.

In 1999 Mr. Davis entered private practice and began representing clients in Colorado and federal courts in criminal, civil and employment law matters.  Mr. Davis has tried dozens of jury trials and has handled complex civil and employment cases in state and federal courts and all levels of criminal cases including white collar cases, sex offense allegations, homicides and other major felonies.

Mr. Davis has represented individuals and small to medium sized businesses in state and federal courts in civil and employment disputes and ranging from simple contract matters and wage claims to complex financial, property and discrimination claims.  Mr. Davis’ clients have included individuals in many walks of life as well as banks, mortgage companies, engineering businesses, construction and service companies. In addition to his extensive courtroom experience, Mr. Davis has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations and has represented clients in administrative hearings. Mr. Davis is a member of the Denver, Arapahoe County and Colorado Bar Associations.

Mr. Davis has also lectured or instructed at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law; Red Rocks Community College; Denver Police Academy and the Denver Sheriff’s Academy.
